This is a massive piece of deliciousness.
Solid oak carved dresser. Solid, as-in incredibly heavy. If you’re looking for a doctors note, try pick this up – it’s a guaranteed hernia.
I wanted this to look as though it had been found in an abandoned French apartment. It had been used, and loved, and held a multitude of signs to show that. Lots of beautiful rugged texture.
Painted with a European paint (not yet available in the US) called Mia Colore. It’s a beautiful blue (Grand Canal) with a black base color, and highlights. I was fortunate enough to be sent this paint by the company to try. It’s gorgeous. Distressed silver leaf detailing, with gold highlights. And the carvings, the carvings.
Everything has been sealed with a Dead Flat clear topcoat.
When I saw this piece I had originally envisioned this to be a bathroom vanity, but it would also be magnificent as a kitchen island. Can you image having a dinner party, and having guest stand around this beauty?
Given the weight and size of this piece I would welcome local pick-up, from Portland Oregon.
