Jaw droppingingly beautiful! Some of us paint furniture and some of us are artists with furniture. You are the latter!

Thank you, Patti. I think in this case, the image just really felt right with the shape of the piece. I will take any compliment I can!

Wow! This is absolutely amazing! Your work is so beautiful. Question…. is that a poster you decoupaged to the dresser or did you freehand it on? I have seen images like this on furniture before and love it, but cannot tell how it was done. If this is paper you did an unbelievable job getting it on! I’d love to try it but can’t quite figure out what to do. Can you share a little????? Please???? THANKS!

      Hi Laurie,
This is image transfer. All of my pieces that include fine art are done using that method. Check out the tutorials on here, there’s a link to show you how. Have fun! Diane

Phenomenal workmanship, and I love the copperplating! I too have seen years ago this beautiful image done as a quilt. I had the same question as Laurie above, as I have recently been looking into transferring of images onto wood. I was not able to click on ‘here’ in your response to check out a tutorial. Would you be able to email it to me? Thank you so much!

JP, it should be under tutorials. I’m changing the layout, so things may be a little crazy for the next few days :/

I can certainly see how you won the 2015 General Finishes Award. Your work is so amazing – couldn’t begin to say which ones are my favorites. I wrote earlier asking where you get you pictures but not sure where the answer will show up. Also, on the close-up of the above dresser, I see a hint of crackle. Did you do that after applying the transfer?

Thank you, Della! I’ve been collecting prints for a while now. As long as you get it copied into laser print, you’re good. I do use crackle over the image (I use Modern Masters crackle, but they have stopped making it!).

Well, this is just what I needed today. Painting an old buffet for my new dining room in a 116 year old (not an old beauty) an added on , that will have charm when done. We are doing it
Romantic Prairie and collect lace, buffalo skulls, spurs, mirrors and art.
I love painted furniture , currently doing chalk paint on old 1950’s chairs, to be covered tonight with coffee bean burlap that has red coffee cups and other print on them.
After seeing the lovely buffets painted, distressed and waxed wish I had done mine that way. But the area is so small and will be dominated by a 4 x 10 sculpted glass top table, (got the top free off Craigslist) so will just have to dream for the future.
I now have the courage to dream, experiment and try to create the lovely items you have mastered.

    Wow wow wow and wow
