So many reasons why to love priming! It means I’ So many reasons why to love priming! It means I’m starting a new piece! It means that, in my mind’s eye, I’m working on a ‘blank’ canvas. Buh bye, wood grain that messes with my head. It means that I’m going to take care of those pesky tannins, before they start bleeding through. It means it’s a good day!

Sometimes you have to go backwards to go forwards. Sometimes you have to go backwards to go forwards. I decided several years ago to go back to the basics - learn how to use traditional paints, when I became bored with chalk paint. Casein paint is a finicky, gorgeous to play with, medium. So glad that I decided to learn about it! I also wish I had kept this cabinet! #thepaintfactory #traditionalpaints #casein #goingbacktobasics
