Description
Beautiful antique gustavian sofa. Baluster back and sides with turned finials and reeded corner blocks. Molded rails and turned legs. Painted with muted grey/taupe/white, and tastefully distressed using both traditional lime paint and chalk paint.
The sofa has been stripped down to the bones, new webbing, foam etc. Then recovered using a William Morris inspired ‘Honeysuckle’ linen/cotton fabric.
Incredibly styled period piece. With all of my pieces, I aim to get an authentic finish – which means embracing the nicks and dents that time and wear has naturally caused. The piece is a distressed finish, meaning that various colors will show in areas, there may be chipped paint in other areas; both adding to the character of the piece.
Measures approx: 35″ high x 25.5″ deep x 73.5″ wide.
